A Medical Group is a group of physicians all belonging to the group who work out of medical facilities, owned and operated by the group. They provide health care for ambulatory patients – as opposed to inpatients treated in hospitals. Some of these groups are very large while others are comprised of only a few practitioners. Generally, the billing is handled through one central office.
